Praying Your Way Out of Bondage

You Are About to Learn to Pray the Bible!

In this tenth book in the “Praying the Scriptures” series, author Dr. Elmer Towns reveals the times, troubles, and triumphs of the Israelites as they were freed from slavery and left Egypt. He also delves deeply into how, when, and why the Levites received God’s laws and instructions to “Be holy, because I am holy.”

“Throughout all of their journeys, the cloud of the Always-Present One [was] over the [Holy] Tent during the daytime, and there was fire over it during the night…” (Exodus 40:38 PEB).

Sit at the dinner table with Moses and Job as they talk about God’s faithfulness to deliver and provide; and listen to the conversation between Moses and Aaron as Moses writes the last words God gives him about offerings.

Dr. Towns translated the Scriptures from the original text into modern English—thought for thought—and then turned each passage into a prayer to God. A process he calls transliteration—a process you will call intriguing and exciting!
